Are you a small-medium scale local food producer or processor located in the Okanagan or Shuswap looking to connect with fellow producers/processors?
The Small Scale Food Processor Association (SSFPA), in collaboration with the Land to Table (L2T) Network, is launching the Okanagan Shuswap (Ok Shu) Food Producer/Processor Listserv. This is a space and a tool to share resources, regulatory/industry updates, event and workshop announcements, peer to peer support, questions and ideas, to connect to local growers and build a network.
It’s easy to join and partake in the mailing list. Register to participate by emailing: info@ssfpa.net or liz@landtotablenetwork.com – include Ok Shu Listserv Registration in the email subject line.
Once you are registered you will receive a “welcome” email telling you how to post to the mailing list and then you are ready to share.
The SSFPA has a long standing history of connecting processors (country wide) through listservs and has seen the value that this communication tool offers. In this instance you do not need to be a paid SSFPA member to participate in this listserv collaboration! This space is unique as it is connecting processors and producers regionally (and across neighbouring regions) rather than by sector/specialty. Perhaps one day we can gather listserv participants in person!
For now, thanks for your interest. Should you have any questions please email one of the contacts given above (Liz at L2T or Candice at SSFPA). We look forward to seeing you in the online conversation.
