Meet Stephanie Sundquist

The Food Shed Manager

Hi, I’m Stephanie Sundquist. I believe that a stronger, healthier British Columbia starts with
better food systems. My journey has taken me from the audit desk at Community Futures to the
warehouse floor of Farmbound Organics, to the processing floor of OBC where I spent 15 years
connecting local farmers with the communities that need them most.

I’ve worn many hats: Operational Manager, Purchaser, Financial Auditor, and even Food
Processing Operator. Whether I’m running industrial processing equipment or analyzing funding
spreadsheets, my goal is always the same: to make local food more accessible.

As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, I don’t just see “units of produce”—I see the lifeblood of our
community health. I am currently looking to collaborate with like-minded organizations to solve
the puzzles of:
● Shared Infrastructure: Warehouse and cooler space solutions.
● Food Recovery: Reducing waste through smarter transportation and logistics.
● Cooperation: Helping small and extra-large providers work in harmony.
